## Filing an Increase and New Claims
I recently filed for an increase and new claims on March 25th. Shortly after submitting my claims, I received a call and we scheduled a Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam on the 27th. I attended the exam on the 30th and have been eagerly awaiting the next steps in the process. Currently, my claim is in the evidence gathering, review, and decision stage. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced such a speedy progression in their claim.

Filed for an increase on a Wednesday, had c&p exam the following Wednesday, Thursday the Texas veterans commission called me to tell me I was 100% p&t, Friday back pay check hit my account, all this happened last month.
After being out for over 30 years, I finally put in a claim and had a decision and rating in about 30 days… I even had two separate C&P exams within that timeline…
It seems normal to get to Step 3 this quick for most people. This is where we get stuck for a bit.
I’m going to lose it. I’m happy people’s claims are moving fast but holy fuck am I frustrated that I can’t get progress.
are you sleeping with the rater 🙂
Went from 0% to 100% in 28 days. It goes fast for some. Wish it was quick for everyone.
Had a guy who’s whole claim took about 45 days start to finish.
Do you have a hardship, purple heart, or MOH?
Are you in Texas? I’ve noticed that Texas moves fast.
Mine went from submitted to complete in two weeks. Filed for an increase with no C&P required
I just had 2 increases and 2 new claims close in 45 also
What the heck, I filed for an increase back on March 1st, and at evidence gathering, review and decision since March 7th. So far I got no phone calls or anything to scheduling C&P exam. Been stuck at there since March 7th.
I had that in december. filed and had c&p scheduled within 4-5 days. My claims are still sitting though after c&p.
I did a fully developed claim for an increase and had my decision in less than 7 days
I had the same exact thing just happen
Same but step 3 is where the fun starts. Waiting game
Yes I filed for an increase end of February and had my C&P less than 2 weeks later. Just waiting now.
I’ve rated claims that were submitted the day before. It just depends on the complexity of the claim and if it is fully developed.
i filed a supplemental claim on Jan 15 2022 had C&p exam Feb 3rd. hasnt moved since………..
Meanwhile all the older cases are in the back of the line and taking several years to process
Been waiting since November first for my foia letter as well as my claim since as well. No updates since.
Yes I added my spouse as dependant at 11pm, next morning the claim was closed and awarded backpay to my current itf for other claims. Payment took a week, was amazing.
I had a new claim filed they opened it went to evidence Gathering and then closed it within 72 hours with no exams no phone calls no messages or anything and I never even got a packet in the mail telling me why. LOL
Nope.. everything I’ve ever done has taken years and I’m still only at 70%. Currently in a 2 year process and probably only about halfway waiting for my Appeal to be scheduled as I’ve been docketed since January. I don’t think I’ll ever get what was earned given my disabilities.
What about any appeals going before a veterans law judge? Does anyone have any information on that?
I filed for bilateral hearing loss and it took less then 5 weeks from start to finish. The fastest on was for my insomnia they put it under mental health/ ptsd so no sleeps study was needed. I had a two part C&P exam at the same place . First on Monday then Wednesday and by Friday of that week i was rated 70% . I couldn’t believe it .
Oh ok thanks. I thought that I had to go actually go in to DAV and ask them to change it. Thank you!
Lucky you I am about 6 months and waiting on a increase had knee replacement in Sept last year filled in Nov.
Just heads up here. You may have to wait for one or two more months before temp jurisdiction is assigned.
Mine was exactly 30 days start to finish. I had an increase as well.
My buddy has been waiting for over year for his claim.
I have been sitting in PFD since the 22nd of Feb. I really do not expect anything to happen until June-July timeframe. There are outliers I think to help out averages that are picked for acceleration, but I would not count on it.
I filed an increase today. I’ll update you on the timing. It might be that they already have the documentation. Meaning treatments. So it was quick.

I filed 1 secondary and 1 new on march 9. C&P on march 21st and now been in PFD since the 29th. Never seen it move so fast and this is my third claim
If a claim has all requirements at the start, I believe it.
I filed a supplemental claim after being denied the first time back on December 19th – finally had my new C & P 3 weeks ago and still waiting on any update of them looking at the new exam evidence

Filed initial claim February 17th. Had my rating April 2nd. I’m still processing
Mines was done in 6 days with 100 P and T 😬😬😬😅😅😅
I filed March 15th. Got a call for the C&P on the 20th. Had my C&P on the 29th. The only reason it was the 29th was because I couldn’t take the Monday the 25th appointment because of work.
Fingers crossed this all goes quickly for us all
