I just received my MH rating for my Depression/Anxiety with Insomnia. 70%. My total is no 93%. Crazy that all I had to do is gather my medical records, write my State in Support of a Claim. Turn it in, attend my C&P exams…and wait. 128 days later I am here! Please just educate yourself in the process, I am shocked at how easy this was!

“In the decision phase”: Sometime before mid April, informed on phone call about something else

PFD: Sometime before early May, informed on phone call about something else

    PDA, PFN, complete: N/A

    Question on Supplementals.

If the new evidence for the Supplemental also inadvertently gives proof of a new issue that wasn’t claimed before, if you get a favorable review will they add the new issue as well or will they make you do a new claim for it after the Supplemental is done?

  • theJsp0t

original sub april 25th 2023. denied july, submitted more evidence immediately, November denied, submitted HLR with informal. march 28th this year I had HLR call. a week after I was informed they had afailure to assist, I had a vera call and they said my disability is confirmed, there is a presumptive put on my injury and then a few days later my portal was updated with a note in case saying could take more than 4-5 months. :/

  • babysittertrouble

    Random question from a civilian:

Best friend hit me up in a panic saying the VA withdrew his money instead of depositing it and asked for several hundred dollars. I lent it to him bc he’s my brother but I’m suspicious for a few reasons I won’t mention besides that it just seems silly. Said he’ll pay me back tomorrow

I’ve heard of the VAs incompetence but is this even on the realm of possibility?

  • Remote-Quarter3710

    Supplemental – Dependency claim
    Submitted January 8
    Initial review January 9

Fat fingered my wife’s birthday, so had to submit verifying documents. Submitted documents through VSO but they didn’t tell me I needed to do a supplemental form so finally started the clock in January. VERA says everything is good to go but it’s just sitting in a pile waiting to get reviewed.

  • Alive-Math675

    -Supplemental (Appeal of Denial, 20-0995)

    -Originally Denied – 2/18/24

-Filed Appeal w/ new evidence (nexus letter from doctor currently treating the condition) on – 4/3/24

-C&P Exam (the first one was terrible, as noted on my 20-0995) – 4/18/24

-Made calls to VERA and 800# since. No movement, no impact, no idea on current status as [VA.gov](http://VA.gov) doesn’t give solid updates on Supplemental Claims.

  • Tailback

    Supplemental to correct effective date

    Jan 17th 2024

Only thing that shows is “claim is closed”

I have a pending retro deposit showing for the year of back pay

Evidence gathering/review date: VA identified an error that must be corrected on January 30, 2024, ‘The Veterans Benefits Administration is correcting an error’

Misc details: Sleep exam Dec 2020 after complaints of exhaustion for months, waking up choking. Results not given by dr until Summer 2021. Cpap not given until summer 2023. Denial of sleep apnea claim secondary to pain, HLR request in Sept 2023. Weight gain from injuries, depression, pain at about 40 lbs, down 20 from that, at one time 40, but it fluctuates based on pain and stress pretty hard. Now just waiting to see if I get some kind of good news.
