Locally-Owned Bakery Closes Fashion Square Mall Location but Expands Elsewhere

SAGINAW, MI ÔÇö After several years in the Fashion Square Mall food court, a locally-owned bakery has made the decision to close its doors at that location. However, loyal customers need not despair, as the bakery is not bidding farewell for good.

Cierra Crudup, the owner of Delicious Sweets Bakeshop and KravÔÇÖn Cookies, took to the Delicious Sweets Bakeshop Facebook page to make the official announcement about the closure. Crudup expressed her gratitude for the success she has experienced at the mall, while also hinting at new endeavors in the future.

In her Facebook post, Crudup mentioned that she operated two locations and added a third along with a cookie shop over the past 5 years. She expressed her appreciation for the blessings and grace that enabled her to achieve this, and emphasized the need for a change and balance in her life. Despite her sentiments of nostalgia for the Fashion Square location, Crudup conveyed her excitement for what lies ahead.

The closure of Delicious Sweets Bakeshop at Fashion Square Mall took place in late December. However, the SVRC Marketplace location on 203 S. Washington Ave. remains operational and is even undergoing an expansion process.

To mark the expansion, the bakery is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new and larger space in the marketplace, which previously belonged to Iron Dragon Pastries. This event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 17.
