I had a cop in my town that didn’t like my bike. So any time I drive by his street, he would mail me a ticket. When I went to court, it was his word against mine and I lost. Lots of really bad people become cops.

You guys have ALPR’s there. All the Sheriffs dept cars and motorcycle cops have them here. He probably didn’t use NCIC. He probably got an alert.

My boyfriend was pulled over by DPS in Texas for not getting out of the passing lane fast enough after passing the DPS in the right lane. The LEO proceeded to asks him to get out of his truck and bring his phone. My bf at first said no but then agreed. The trooper then asked him to unlock his phone so he could go thru it since he is a RSO. BF said hell no you don’t have a warrant. The officer er continued to try to convince him he could check it but BF said nope I still have rights and did you pull me over just to harass me? The office let him go with a warning. He told his probation officer what happened and she was shocked the trooper asked to look thru this phone and told him he did the right thing.

Here’s some bullshit, I have witnessed a sitting judge in California who was stumbling, puking in bushes, cold ass drunk, get in his car with his LEO wife AND their two children. There are all kinds of pieces of shit all throughout the judicial system. he and his wife need to be on a dui registry for their narcissistic actions that put driving home intoxicated above the safety and welfare of their children.

We have one who periodically will come park across the street and just sit in his SUV. He does it for about 30/45 mins or so each time. I think he does it just to be a PITA. There’s nothing we can do about it, but it sure does do what it’s intended to do. He absolutely hates being treated like that.. and I can’t absolutely understand why.

The worst part of all of it, is that according to the plea deal, he was only supposed to be on the Registry for 10 yrs. It’s now been 17 yrs, and there’s no end in sight. Considering they erroneously entered a lifetime instead of 10 yrs, they know it, but refuse to correct it, knowingly breaching their own plea, and causing what’s called an “Illegal Sentence”. The law says there are 2 remedies for Illegal Sentences.

First, a new trial. You’re totally taking your chances, because you could very well receive a worse sentence the second time around. Or, second, insist they both correct and honor the original plea. This would immediately remove him. This is clearly the resolution that we want. However, we can’t afford an attorney. We would get a court appointed one, if we could get the case back in front of the judge. However, we routinely get a lot of interest when sharing the information, it should be an easy open and shut case, and any attorney should want it for that very reason. And, many have. That is until they learn that the former Prosecutor responsible for all of it, is now a judge. Suddenly, 100% of the time, they change their mind. This makes the former Prosecutor, now Judge, literally untouchable. And, he knows it. It’s absolute BS. BUT, our hands are tied. And, of course, it completely ruins and screws with your life. It doesn’t just affect the SO, but all of us in one way or another.

I wish they’d just get rid of it. All it’s doing for the public is providing a false sense of security anyway. For the rest of us, it’s a HUGE issue, and it causes considerable problems for us regularly.

I had an off-duty cop come up and accuse me of trying to groom some girl in the gym because I’m an SO. I explained to him, 1) I’m gay. 2) She was asking me about form and I was helping her to not fuck her back up for life. 3) I already did my time.

He had said that a bunch of members at the gym were trying to get me kicked out. Nothing came of it, but it was sure stressful at the time; I had only been home about six months. I decided then that I was going to continue going to the gym out of pure spite and to make the other members angry of they didn’t like it.

Fast forward a little over two years later, and I felt that I’d stayed long enough to piss everyone off, so it’d be fine to move on to my next gym. Especially as it had just been bought by new owners.

Well…I happened to meet the new owners. The husband invited me to Jiu-jitsu, and after my first class I fell in love with it and joined immediately. Started going every night that I could and started progressing through to my second stripe pretty quickly. I’ve built up a lot of friendships, several of the guys there are even cops, and nobody’s said anything to me this time around.

Robocop (the one from before) is even looking to join, which gave me pause at first, but not so much anymore. He’d even somewhat apologized to me at one point a couple years ago. Not that I trust him, obviously, but if he DOES say something, it’s not the end of the world.

Maybe these cops in class know about me, maybe they don’t. But I’ve built up a very solid reputation at this studio and I’m confident they’d at least let me explain the situation and put their minds at ease before just kicking me out of the studio without a thought.

Not sure. Likely won’t go anywhere if you pursued it besides drawing attention to you or him. Fly under th radar and bite your tongue. Although it’s hard. Where I live, I pay a lot of money. My neighbors do things to violate the lease and it def impinges on me. The complex has has flaws. I don’t bring any of it up. I don’t wanna be asked to leave when my lease expires and I don’t want drama with neighbors. I take it on the chin and fly under the radar

In Florida, even level I gets 4 LEO residence checks a year (one per quarter). Fortunately, the deputies are always professional.
