General Function of the Director:
The Director of the Small Business Center plays a crucial role in planning, developing, implementing, and managing strategies for the Small Business Center located at the Lenoir Community College (AAMC) Aerospace & Advanced Manufacturing Center.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in entrepreneurship, business administration, accounting, finance or related field; master’s degree preferred
• A minimum of three years of successful business experience in management or ownership capacity
• Two years of experience in developing and implementing training programs in educational or other organizations
• Experience with grant implementation, reporting, and close out
• Proven record of successful business and industry relationships

Working Conditions and Essential Functions:

• Typical office environment
• Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a telephone, computer, keyboard, and mouse; some standing and walking
• Lifting and carrying 15-20 pounds
• Nights and/or weekend hours as assigned
