28 applications were received from small business owners across the county, with six finalists selected for the Pitch Night event. The finalists include Brent Farmer of Tyee Landing, Clayton Brelage of Jumptastic Rentals, Lindsay Rose of Electric Role Auto Saloon, Isaiah Weiss of LearnSesh, Eric Andrews of Say Yes to the DJ, and Jody Brown of The Atom Bistro.

Coaching and Preparation

Each finalist has been paired with a personal coach to refine their presentations and messaging. A week before the event, they will practice in front of each other and their coaches to ensure they are well-prepared to pitch their business ideas. Prawitz highlighted the importance of fostering entrepreneurship and encouraging innovative ideas within the community.

Prize Details and Sponsors

In addition to the $10,000 first-place prize, second place will receive $5,000, with $2,500 prizes for third place and the audience favorite. The prize fund of $20,000 is contributed by the business community, with major sponsors including The Ford Family Foundation, Aviva Health, Con-Vey, Umpqua Community College, Oregon Pacific Bank, and Lone Rock Resources.
