The highly anticipated third edition of the ATP Business Education Programme has officially commenced in Miami. This educational initiative is designed specifically to equip ATP players with vital skills that extend significantly beyond their on-court performance.

In collaboration with La Liga, this ambitious program aims to provide athletes with comprehensive tools to successfully navigate the complex landscape of the business world. Among the notable participants is ATP Player Advisory Council member Jaume Munar, who underscored the significance of this opportunity.

“This programme is enormous for us as professional tennis players. The valuable insights we gain from the Education Programme are incredibly significant,” Munar emphasized. “I was genuinely excited to participate… I believe that gaining knowledge about different aspects of events, especially from industry experts, is an incredible experience.” He added, “As a player, this setting provides a wonderful opportunity for personal development and a greater understanding of what lies behind each event we partake in. I am truly thankful as an ATP member to have the chance to engage in such meaningful programmes.”

Rohan Bopanna, a former world No. 1 in the PIF ATP Doubles Rankings, echoed Munar’s sentiments, stating, “I truly believe this programme can be a game changer for me, particularly as someone who has spent nearly two decades on the Tour. This initiative not only enriches our knowledge as athletes but also equips us to prepare effectively for life beyond the court.” He added that having a structured education enables players to network more effectively and paves the way for building a fulfilling second career.

Throughout 23 hours of meticulously crafted course material, which includes in-person sessions in both Miami and Madrid, participants dive into essential components of the sports industry. They also explore their unique interests in greater depth, all with the goal of personal and professional growth.

A highlight of this year’s edition is its commitment to inclusivity. Joining the 16 ATP players are five WTA athletes in the Class of 2025, including the esteemed former World No. 2, Paula Badosa. This diverse representation sets a precedent for collaboration and mutual learning between athletes across genders.
