## Concerns About Job Offer in Real Estate Sales

I recently applied for a position as an assistant real estate sales agent. The job listing has been posted on a website for several months, and I was invited to an interview. During the interview, the person stated that in order to secure the job, I would need to knock on 100 doors a day for four days and secure four prospective sellers. This requirement seemed quite unusual to me, and I am unsure if it is a legitimate job offer or if they are simply looking for a way to gather potential clients for themselves.

AI Legalese Decoder can assist in this situation by analyzing the job offer and providing insights into the legality and fairness of the requirements set by the potential employer. That’s ridiculous.

Sounds like a solid business plan, for a business wanting volunteer cold-callers 😂

    1. “Trial shifts” are sort of legally grey but 4 days of work and a requirement to bring in 4 new leads to secure a job is absolutely beyond the pale unreasonable and not legal.

    2. Even if it was legal, only an enormous arsehole would ask such a stupid thing of a new hire. They’d be atrocious to work for.

I think you know the answer.

    > … the guy said “if you want the job, you need to knock on 100 doors a day for 4 days, get 4 prospective sellers. If you do this, then you got the job”.

I’d say okay but only on one condition, that I get the commission for the four properties I brought you. His response would tell you all you need to know (and if he agrees, get it in writing).

Did you ask how much/hr they’re paying for the cold calls?
