FHSU Awards over $327,000 in Donor Scholarships to Business and Entrepreneurship Students for 2023-24 Academic Year

HAYS, Kan. ÔÇô In a remarkable display of generosity, Fort Hays State University (FHSU) has awarded approximately 260 donor scholarships totaling over $327,000 to deserving business and entrepreneurship students for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year. This notable increase of nearly $10,000 compared to last year exemplifies FHSU’s commitment to supporting its students. The scholarships, which were presented at the awards ceremony for the W.R. and Yvonne Robbins College of Business & Entrepreneurship on September 14, brought together donors and students to celebrate the spirit of giving back.

Under the leadership of Tisa Mason, the president of FHSU, the university acknowledges and celebrates the philanthropists whose contributions have made these scholarships possible. Mason emphasizes the tremendous impact that these scholarships can have on students’ lives and hopes that the recipients will be inspired to carry forward the same spirit of kindness and generosity to make a difference in the world.

One of the most prestigious scholarships awarded during the ceremony was the Robbins Ambassador Scholarship, which was received by students Nate Egan and Braden Schulte. Donor Jamie Dreher of Brungardt, Hower, Ward, Elliott & Pfeifer highlighted the strong ties between her company and FHSU, with 95 percent of its employees being FHSU graduates.
