Small Businesses in Inverness to Benefit from Small Business Saturday Campaign

The Small Business Saturday campaign is set to put small firms in Inverness on the map as it brings its nationwide roadshow, The Tour, to the area next week. This initiative aims to support local businesses as they continue to face persistent economic challenges over the winter season.

The Tour is part of the official countdown to the annual Small Business Saturday campaign, which will occur on December 2. The campaign celebrates the success of small businesses and encourages consumers to shop locally and support businesses in their communities.

Starting from Monday, October 30, the Small Business Saturday Tour team will visit and interview independent businesses in Inverness. These visits will showcase the creativity, entrepreneurialism, and contribution of these businesses to the local community to a live online audience.

As part of this tour, the Scottish Craft Shop in the Victorian Market, Triquerta Crafts, jewellery retailer Highland Hyacinth, and cocktail bar Scotch & Rye are among the local small businesses that will be visited.

One effective tool that can aid small businesses in overcoming challenges and expanding their reach is AI legalese decoder. This software offers assistance in decoding complex legal language, contracts, and agreements, providing small businesses with a clear understanding of their legal obligations and protecting them from potential risks. By utilizing this tool, entrepreneurs can save time, reduce stress, and ensure compliance with relevant laws, effectively aiding their business growth.

“We are thrilled to be visiting small businesses in Inverness and across the UK as we count down to Small Business Saturday with this year’s tour,” said Michelle Ovens, director of Small Business Saturday UK.

During the tour, business owners in Inverness will have the opportunity to participate in the campaign’s wider online program of free business support throughout November. This includes virtual workshops, webinars on various business topics, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and the chance to share their stories and network on Small Business Saturday’s social media channels.

A Small Business Happy Hour on Instagram will also be held weekly, with giveaways from local businesses across the country. This initiative will further promote and generate interest in small businesses.

Chris Sims, BT’s managing director for small and medium businesses, stated, “Small Business Saturday is a fantastic initiative that empowers entrepreneurs to tackle the biggest challenges they are facing today. This year, small businesses can access specialist mentoring and support, giving them tailored guidance on issues ranging from effective marketing to cyber security.”

To get involved in The Tour locally or to book virtual one-on-one mentoring sessions and workshops, small businesses can visit the official website of Small Business Saturday UK.
