Congrats, I know how challenging it can be in NC.
64 with 2 strokes, Diabetes, 5 Stints, just got approved after 2 years. Denied twice, then hearing and approved. Now trying to understand Medicare.

IÔÇÖm in NC as well, my hearing was scheduled for 6/8; the judge has made a decision however my case was just assigned to a decision writer last week. When I called the national number the rep. said it could take 8wks before I have anything in writing because theyÔÇÖre so backed up. IÔÇÖm praying it doesnÔÇÖt take that long. I initially applied in Jan 2022, appealed Aug 2022, and reconsideration Dec. 2022.
I had the same status today on the website. I called out local social security and got good news.
I was approved full benefits.
I am not sure if they change the status cause mine was not changed
Hopefully everything works out to your benefit.
It took about 4 weeks for my husbands. IÔÇÖd recommend going into your local office. Since my husbands was mental health he needed a letter from psych that he could handle his own money which dragged out the process by an extra 2 months. He went into the SS office before getting the award letter and they were able to print one out for him along with get his banking info etc.
What does it mean when it says reviewing to see if your still eligible for non medical?

There are 5 steps. It looks like they are doing step 5, final non medical review. It doesn’t say your appeal is approved.
It’s been over 14 months since I filed for disability and then a month ago they sent me another daily activities letter to fill out and when I look online at the progress bar it’s still on part 3 and says we’re processing your application as quickly as possible we will let you know if we need additional information.
