Head to nearest military installation & go to deers office or personnel. Theyā€™ll guide you

Dd214 and your commissary letter & make sure he has proof of his ā€œ100% p&tā€ letter ready.. printed is probably best.

Also make sure you have real IDs on you.

Local DEERS or CAC office is the answer. I would recommend setting up an appointment if you can (they can get busy) and be ready if they need something special. I had my 100% letter, Real ID and my DD-214 and they still sent me back to the VA regional office to get another piece of paper signed.

Also, don’t forget that you are eligible for one too (as a dependent of a 100%er.) This can be handy if you want to (for instance) shop in the commissary without him with you. To do that, you’ll need to bring an ID and a marriage certificate along with all of the above, if you’re doing it at the same time.

Itā€™s a USID card, at least it was for me.

Hey something to look into drivers license that reflects veteran status. You never have to pay for the renewal all you need is what you usually bring to update a license pulse seated letter showing 100% P&T status. Also if your husband is comfortable enough to get a disabled license plate call your local DMV for what you need to bring but in my state I never have to pay for registration and my plates are for life also makes getting into state parks for free a lot easier. All I had to bring was paperwork showing seated status proof of address and title

Any RAPIDS Office will do. Just go to OSD.mil and set an appointment by location/time. The DEERS office will have access to all of your CIV/DOD/VA information. FYI, it is best to schedule by appointment, then you will priority 1 when you arrive skipping all of the walk-ins.

    Just food for thought.

any DEERS office, even some small national guard armories have them.

There is no CAC, with a chip if that’s what you’re asking

Go to VCC and show them the VA letter that your husband is šŸ’Æ p&t As long as you are on his va records as a spouse, you get the government dependent ID.

When I went to the base ID office, I was turned away because the printed commissary letter didn’t have a 100% disabled effective date on it. I pulled up the benefits award letter that did have the date on my phone and suggested they make copy on the copier but they declined. Just make sure the letter has an as-of date for your 100% to be safe.

You might need to make an appointment at the deers office near you. Not every office does walk-inā€™s. I learned the hard way.

You can schedule an appointment using the RapidsID website and the website tells you exactly what to bring to the appointment. https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/ Spouse and qualified dependents can also be issued an ID card when the veteran is rated 100% P&T or TDIU.

What comes with having the 100% ID? Im 100% myself and dont have one.
