The implications of this bill seem to favor Big Tobacco, allowing for the sale of cigarettes in places frequented by youth and promoting the use of their e-cigarettes, which are popular among young people according to surveys conducted by the CDC.

If Governor Reynolds approves this bill, it could spell the end for the thriving $75 million-dollar vaping industry in Iowa, putting small businesses at risk of closure and causing a significant loss of jobs and tax revenue for the state.

Governor Reynolds has an important decision to make in either supporting small businesses in Iowa and assisting individuals trying to quit smoking or catering to the interests of Big Tobacco.
