### Help Educate Future Doctors – Participate in Medical Checkups for Infants and Toddlers

NOSM University, formerly known as the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, is seeking the assistance of families with healthy infants, babies, and toddlers to contribute to the education of medical professionals.

By participating in these medical checkups, parents can help doctors in training learn and improve their skills. The checkups are conducted by medical students under the supervision of experienced physician teachers as part of NOSM’s Standardized Patient program.

Families with infants born after November 10, 2023, are invited to attend the baby checkup clinics in Sudbury on January 9, 2024, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Additionally, checkup clinics for babies born between April 1 and July 15, 2023, and toddlers born between March and October 2022, will also be held at different times.

As a token of appreciation for their participation, families will receive payment for their involvement in the checkups. The opportunity to contribute to the education and training of future doctors at Canada’s only independent medical university is emphasized as a way for families to make a difference.
