I guess it depends on your state. Very few states have forever bans. The rest are upon release or at the end of paper

It amazes me how many people think a felony conviction is a forever ban. I guess that’s a holdover from a previous time. Personally, I think it is something that should not be able to ever be restricted. If you are in prison, you are still affected by those who get elected.
But at least it’s not as bad as some think it may be

I can’t vote since I’m a felon, but hey, mail in ballots are acceptable, fictional people, and dead people are acceptable.
So my question becomes why not felons???
When I was released from prison in the state of Missouri, I was given a voter registration form by one of the correction officers processing my release. He told me since I maxed out my time, I automatically got my voting rights back.
