## Looking for a Better Credit Card for Travel Expenses

Hi, I’m currently using my Tangerine World Mastercard and earning 2% cash back on groceries, restaurants, and recurring bills. However, with an increase in business travel, I’ve noticed that I’m only receiving 0.5% cash back on travel expenses such as airfare and hotel bookings. I’m looking for recommendations on a credit card that offers 2% or more cash back specifically on travel expenses, while also having a low to minimal annual fee. Additionally, I prefer not to use an AMEX card. It’s worth mentioning that I have a very high credit score.

### How AI Legalese Decoder Can Help

By using the AI Legalese Decoder, you can easily compare and analyze various credit card options to find one that best suits your travel expense needs. The tool can help you identify credit cards that offer higher cash back rewards on travel expenses, while also taking into consideration factors such as annual fees and your credit score. This way, you can make an informed decision and choose a card that maximizes your cash back benefits without compromising on other features.

## Considering the Costco CIBC Mastercard as an Alternative

After some research, I discovered that I can earn 1% cash back on travel expenses with my Costco CIBC Mastercard, and it has no annual fee. This could be a suitable alternative for my business travel needs. Perhaps I’ll consider using this card instead of looking for a new one.

Scotiabank gold amex and visa passport do not have the 2.5% (or 2.9%?) exchange fees and wicked points accumulation with scene+. Drawbacks are annual fee, but depending your spending point, you make that up really quick. In fact, the amex gold is like $600 in bonus points if you do the spend threshold when you sign up (I think $1000 first month, $3000 over the next 6, don’t quote me exactly but pretty low), and the visa is first year fee waived. If you don’t like the fees once you’re back from foreign travel, cancel them. But if you spend $5k a month or more like myself, the annual fee is nothing compared to the points you get.
