Depends on the state. If itÔÇÖs a state that requires registration while incarcerated and doesnÔÇÖt remove you when you move then, yes. If itÔÇÖs a state that doesnÔÇÖt and youÔÇÖre deported immediately at release then, no. But, most people arenÔÇÖt actually deported then, just put in to ICE custody. ItÔÇÖs really going to vary but I have seen registry listings that state ÔÇ£deportedÔÇØ on them.
In Florida, your citizenship status doesn’t matter. If you have a conviction in the USA that qualifies to register, then you will be on Florida’s registry for life.
This is just information IÔÇÖve gathered through my own research about the person who committed a crime against me (pled to sexual penetration with a foreign object)
He was in state prison on a 5-25 until Covid hit when I got an offender status update that he was being released after serving only 2 years of that sentence, couldnÔÇÖt tell me where he was going. He registered but his registry status said ÔÇ£immigration detentionÔÇØ or something like that and about a month later he disappeared from the website. IÔÇÖm assuming he was deported back to Mexico and I do know he was 100% undocumented and while the city this happened in was a sanctuary city, if you commit a crime or felony you can be deported.
The only reason I suspect he was deported and didnÔÇÖt just move/stop registering is because of the status being immigration and it just disappeared, it didnÔÇÖt say non compliant or anything.
