## Franklin County Economic Development Corporation Grant Application

SARANAC LAKE ÔÇö The Franklin County Economic Development Corporation, in collaboration with the towns of Tupper Lake and Harrietstown, is seeking grant funding to support start-up and existing small businesses. The goal is to directly enhance the experience of the Adirondack Rail Trail and/or Adirondack Railroad. The grant will be designed to boost economic development, job creation, and the overall experience for residents and visitors along the Adirondack Rail Trail and/or Adirondack Railroad.

To show sufficient need and interest from local businesses, FCEDC has launched an online Interest and Eligibility Form (https://form.jotform.com/232576659529169) for small business owners to submit project proposals. The deadline to submit proposals is Dec. 11, 2023.

In order for businesses to be eligible for the grant, they must meet specific criteria, including having five or fewer employees, creating at least one full-time position for someone from a low-to-moderate income household, providing a minimum 10% cash equity contribution, and being principally engaged in specific business sectors and located in the towns of Harrietstown or Tupper Lake.

Individual projects could be funded for up to $35,000, and there will be specific eligibility requirements and criteria to identify and prioritize businesses that align with the grantÔÇÖs goals.
