My first encounter with Nina occurred after my journey with Inside Lake began. Despite not knowing me well at the time, she seemed to instinctively come to my defense in the ever-popular local word-of-mouth groups when criticisms about my articles surfaced. Nina shared valuable insights and offered her support by taking beautiful photographs for my work—often without seeking recognition. Many of the “Courtesy photos” attributed to others were actually the result of her kindness. It was clear that Nina genuinely wanted to see Inside Lake flourish, just as she did for numerous small businesses across Lake County. EUSTIS, Fla.—The essence of Lake County has dimmed significantly with the passing of Nina Rosania, a well-regarded advocate for small businesses, a staunch supporter of law enforcement, and above all, a loving mother and loyal friend. Nina tragically lost her battle with kidney disease earlier this month, leaving behind a community that adored her.

Nina, only 43 at the time of her passing on September 21 at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, faced numerous health challenges for over a decade, enduring multiple surgeries and countless stays in the hospital. Born in Newark, New Jersey, and moving to Florida as a child, Nina was a proud graduate of Eustis High School. Tragically, she lost both her parents when she was in her 30s, a challenge that shaped her resilience, according to longtime friend Shannon Cook. Nina also indulged in a love for local dining experiences, often patronizing restaurants in Eustis and Tavares, including local favorites like El Marie and Kalua Beach Bar—places that she cherished as much as her beach days.

Nina’s Professional Journey: Inspiring Small Businesses and Law Enforcement

Before her health challenges began, Nina had a diverse career spanning real estate and vehicle repossession. When her condition changed, she turned her focus to buying and selling items in resale spaces, all the while tirelessly advocating for local businesses.

Her commitment extended to the Lake County community through active participation in local Facebook groups. She supported small businesses by sharing their posts, lending recommendations, and even moderating groups to enhance visibility and engagement. Furthermore, her dedication to law enforcement manifested in her support for various initiatives, such as the annual “Back the Blue and Red Walk,” showing her unwavering love for those who serve the community.

Nina often worked behind the scenes, seeking no recognition for her contributions. Her act of kindness in organizing a benefit for Lake County Sheriff’s Office Corporal Adam Tytler, who was battling cancer, exemplified this selfless nature, as Tytler found out only recently about Nina’s pivotal role in the benefit’s organization.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Rosania and Noella Benton Clark, and her stepfather, Robert “Bob” Clark. She is survived by her sons, Mikey Napoli and Joey Holt; siblings, Sal Rosania, Shannon Houstoun, and half-brother Chuck Ania, along with compassionate friends and supporters, Blaine and Nadzeya Langford. A Celebration of Life for Nina is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, at Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel, followed by a gathering at Tavares Dog House from 3 to 5 p.m.
