I keep my emergency fund split between Trade Republic (not a bank, tho) and Comdirect.
Trade Republic gives me 4% yearly, also I use them to buy ETF. However, itÔÇÖs not a bank. They work via a partner bank – City Bank.
Comdirect gives 3.75% for 6 months to the new accounts with their Tagesgeld Plus. Also, itÔÇÖs a bank.
I would like to add a third basket to the list, but IÔÇÖm not sure which one still. I use N26 as a daily bank, hopefully they will introduce saving accounts in Germany, so i wonÔÇÖt need to open a new account with some other bank.
Hope, this helps!
Ing rejected me while I have 2 other bank accounts and 2 brokers in Germany and a very good SCHUFA. I think they check nationality at this point.
Anyway, open either scalable capital or trade republic and invest in XEON etf. You get 3.9% daily, its accumulative and you can withdraw when you want.
It follows the str from the European central bank so you get the interest rate that they define.
How has ING been impossible to deal with? I had no issues at all and am saving really well.
What you donÔÇÖt like about ING? Fairly satisfied with it!
Revolut
You could also put money in a money market etf and dont have to worry about switching banks for higher interests etc.
I am using Commerzbank since 5 years and no complains yet. They also have an English app.
Check out weltsparen. It allows you to open accounts with multiple banks that offer daily interests. Each account is also insured up to 100k and you can withdraw money anytime
Tbh, I prefer to keep it in IBKR
