Scheduled to take place on September 23 and 24, 2023, the Capital City River Run offers an array of races to cater to participants of all ages and abilities. The exciting lineup includes a Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, 5k Walk/Run, and the Sohn Kid’s Race.

Sohn Kid’s Race

The festivities kick off on Saturday, September 23, at 11:00 a.m. with the one-mile Sohn Kid’s Race. The race begins at Impression 5 Science Center and winds along the picturesque Lansing River Trail. All young participants will receive a finisher’s medal, a lunchbox, Menchie’s coupons, and FREE admission to an Impression 5 Science Center pizza party.

Main Racing Events

On Sunday, September 24, starting at 8:00am, the main racing events begin on Michigan Avenue in front of the Lansing Center. These races offer a premier racing experience, highlighting the natural beauty of Michigan’s capital city and its adjoining rivers. Participants in the half marathon, half marathon relay, and 5K will traverse historic Michigan Avenue, local city parks, and the Lansing River Trail, culminating in a finish in front of Rotary Park in downtown Lansing. Packet Pick-up Information

To streamline the event experience, packet pick-up will be available on Saturday, September 23, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing, MI. Additionally, on race day, packet pick-up will be conducted outside the Lansing Center on Michigan Ave. from 6:30am until 8:00am.
