Would not risk this what so ever. If Texas wonÔÇÖt make you register I would just go there.
Florida does not care if you are released from registry requirements in your home state. If youÔÇÖve EVER been registered or convicted of a sex crime you will be registered
FloridaÔÇÖs law is written that even if the governor of your state pardoned your crime you would still have to register.

To reiterate what others have said, do not move to Florida. I personally wouldn’t move to any state with a lifetime registry either because then you will essentially always be required to register in any state since you will be registered in one state. Whereas if you get removed from your current state then many states won’t make you register when you move there.
Personally, I would wait and get off the registration in Nebraska. The is a big difference between not having to register in a state vs. having the requirement removed completely.

DonÔÇÖt know much about registering in paradise (aka Hawaii) but if you know that you can go to TX w/o having to register and can deal with the shitty politics there, by all means go ahead and move there.
Florida PFR here. DonÔÇÖt move here you WILL regret it. They make no distinctions between crimes. Everyone is lifetime and 1 year after your death. Even if you take a 2 day vacation here and never return you have to register for life.
Hmm someone should tell Florida that a side effect of their rules is that no convicted sex offenders want to move there and will actively discourage others from going. I’m sure they will be shocked.
Everyone here recognizes the obvious, but rant..The system is so screwed. This is way worse than a felony and my charges are misdemeanors. Has anyone tried to take this to a higher court? The fact that one state can ruin your life just visiting, even if its not the sentencing state seems a little bonkers.
Based on what I have observed in Florida, the most common reason for an RSO to be arrested is for failure to register. That can be anything from forgetting to go for a regular registry update (every 6mo or 3mo depending on classification as a predator or not), to not having registered an internet identifier that you haven’t used in years from before you were convicted but is technically still active…or not registering a family member’s car that was visiting you for a week.
Some Florida counties take hunting registry violations seriously…they will look for a way to re-convict you.

Don’t move to Florida. Not only will you be registered for life, it’s the first thing that will come up in any Google search even if you get off the registry in your home state.
