According to the research organization, the declaration from the Paris AI Action Summit does not incorporate any mechanisms to ensure that technology companies are held accountable for the potential harms resulting from their products. This is concerning, as it highlights a “growing gap” between public demands for safety and the current level of government action to implement necessary regulations.

Politico reported on Monday, citing insiders, that the UK is unlikely to sign the diplomatic declaration intended to be officially unveiled at the conclusion of the first day of discussions at the summit.
