The Launch of the New Center for Law and Technology at GW Law

GW Law is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Center for Law and Technology, a significant addition to the academic focus of the institution. The IP program at GW Law has a rich and storied history, dating back over a century, and consistently ranks among the nation’s leading law school IP programs.

In 2023, the PT Program was introduced at GW Law to address the legal and sociocultural implications of privacy, data security, AI, and digital technologies. The law faculty members at GW Law have been at the forefront of PT issues for decades, and this program enhances their commitment to these crucial topics. Additionally, GW Law recently expanded its faculty with the addition of three new full-time members in the area of PT law: Mary Anne Franks (platform governance, CDA Section 230, online harassment); Alicia Solow-Niederman (artificial intelligence, disruptive technologies, privacy); and Jonathan Cedarbaum (cybersecurity).
