OP is a marine, give them a break

You will get paid at 70%

  • handytrades247

70%. Round up if it 2nd digit ends in 5 or more and down if it ended in 4 or less.

    VA rates in tens.

  • Wish_4_Peace

Your Score is 68, adding up all your disabilities. It gets rounded to the next tenth (example: 56- 64 gets rounded to 60, …. 65 to 74 gets round to 70).

So you will be paid at 70%.

    Hope this helps.

  • Cold-Ingenuity5778

Was this on the actual VA Site? If so, can you post the link? IÔÇÖve never seen this page before apparently.

  • RedBull-Lover-Yellow

Once you hit 65%, it rounds up to the next whole, which is 70%! That’s your new overall rating, and you’ll be paid at the 70% rating!

    Nice job!

  • johnmcd348

The VA doesn’t pay according to actual percentage numbers. They round up or down if your combined rating doesn’t equal a full 100%, or more(they only go to 100%). That is the way VA rating math works when you are rated with a combination of issues.

I’m rated at 93% so monthly payments are for 90%. If something happens and some of my combined ratings increase and my total combined gets to 96%(possibly only need 95%) then the VA will round UP to 100%.

  • Extension_Rub345

DudeÔǪ it literally says 70%ÔǪ youÔÇÖre at 68% total and they round up to the highest percentage. Use a teeny tiny bit of brain power and figure it out ƒÿé rah

  • Omegalazarus

It just means you’re technically 68. So if you get any increases or decrease, you’re staying number is 68 and not 70. For instance, a 2 additional 10% conditions would increase your rating by 5 that means 68+5 = 73 which would still pay you at 70%. If you were actually at 70, 2 additional 10% conditions would get you to 75%, which pays at 80 rate.

Pay rates always round, but your actual rating may make the difference between a new condition actually getting you a real pay increase.

    “Your VA disability rating” ƒÖä

  • BirdsbirdsBURDS

In short, it means nothing for you. The VA does some special math where they order your disabilities from largest to smallest percentage, and then start ÔÇ£Va mathÔÇØ. Basically, at the end of it, they will land on a ÔÇ£true percentageÔÇØ. From there though, theyÔÇÖll round to the nearest 10, and thatÔÇÖll be your Va compensation percentage.

That ÔÇ£true percentageÔÇØ is only really useful if you want to try and calculate where you might end up after adding another disability.

  • Catodog91

Where can I find my actual %?

  • MrChaindang

    It’ll round to 70

  • Vet_king1966

I use this site for bilateral factors

    [https://www.microhealthllc.com/veterans-calculators/bilateral-va-disability-rating-compensation-calculator/](https://www.microhealthllc.com/veterans-calculators/bilateral-va-disability-rating-compensation-calculator/)

  • therealdrewder

It means that if you want to get to 80 you need 7 more points not 5. For your current pay it’s at 70. They always round to the nearest 10

  • Boot4You

    ƒÿéƒÿéƒÿé

  • sofar4lights

The only VA math that makes sense. Dont look to hard on that one my guy lol.

  • alathea_squared

VA rounds by .5, so you are on the 70% side.

  • ComfortableFun772

Menas what it says , youÔÇÖre rated at 68% the VA rounds up or down to the nearest 10th depending on where you fall , which you fall at 70% hence you will get paid at 70% and even though youÔÇÖre at 68% , you can also apply for TDIU now which pays out at the 100% level

Those calculators suck if you have bilateral service connections. Ive had different raw scores on at least threemultiple times. You could be closer to 80% if youre actually at 72-74%. Ive had some assholes here actually down vote me and talk down to me when Ive asked. Theyre not sure either, theyre just talking out of their assholes.
