In Waterloo, Iowa, one prominent law office that many residents turn to is Abbott Law Office PC, located at 311 E 4th St. While this firm has garnered praise from some clients, there have also been negative reviews and criticisms that potential clients should consider before making a decision. Abbott Law Office PC, led by attorneys Michelle Jungers and Andrew Abbott, has received mixed reviews from clients. Positive feedback highlights their passion for their work and fairness in their legal practice. However, negative reviews raise concerns about issues such as poor communication, overcharging, and lack of follow-through on promised services. These critiques, though not representative of all experiences with Abbott Law Office PC, underscore the importance of thoroughly researching and vetting potential legal representatives.

One dissatisfied client, Stacey Dunbar, described their experience with Abbott Law Office PC as extremely negative, mentioning the attorney’s rude demeanor and questionable ethics. Dunbar’s review serves as a cautionary tale for individuals seeking legal assistance and underscores the importance of feeling comfortable and confident in your chosen representation.

Similarly, Chris W expressed frustration with Abbott Law Office PC’s handling of their case, citing issues with billing practices and delays in progress. They ultimately decided to represent themselves in court after feeling dissatisfied with the firm’s services. This experience highlights the importance of clear communication and transparency between clients and their attorneys.

Another client, Ashley Kohlmeyer, shared a disappointing interaction with Abbott Law Office PC, detailing a lack of follow-through on promised services and a refund for unfulfilled work. This review serves as a reminder of the importance of setting clear expectations and holding legal representatives accountable for their actions.

On the other hand, Umatter Lifematters praised Abbott Law Office PC for their exceptional service and care for clients, showcasing the diverse range of experiences individuals may have with the firm. This positive review highlights the importance of personal recommendations and testimonials when considering legal representation.

  • Quite possible not just the worst attorney/magistrate on earth but also the worst person. Incredibly rude, unintelligent, demeaning, and abrasive. Not to mention the secret heÔÇÖs hiding calls into serious question his ability to be impartial. YouÔÇÖre better off with a squirrel representing you and if he has a case of your, even just a traffic ticket, do everything you can to get a different person to rule on it. YouÔÇÖll be forever thankful you did.

  • He seems overloaded with cases and always too busy to make progress at the rate the court expects. He promises a lower rate for all work done by his legal assistant yet bills 100% at his higher hourly rate. He charges for one hour to read a 2 page document and talk it over with said assistant that states the court wants to set trial since no progress has been made on the case. I had to fire him then completed my case pro se within 2 weeks after waiting 2 months for any progress on one document with Andy. He promises a quick and painless process then drags it out and adds unrequested stipulation reviews to jack up the bill. He charged twice for the initial appt. I had to remind him and prove with a receipt that I had paid it before he adjusted the bill.

  • Michelle Jungers and Andrew Abbott are very good attorneys and passionate about what they do. Michelle Jungers was up for district court judge recently and Attorney Abbott has been a Magistrate for the past few years. He is a kind and fair judge.

  • Asked him to file paperwork for us to disestablish paternity. He agreed and we paid him the $300. He said if the case went to court he would need more money or w would have to find someone in Woodbury. We agree. 3 months went by and we heard nothing. We set an appointment. None of the papers had been done. He gave us everything back; paperwork (unfiled), information, our money minus another hundred for walking us through how to do said activity we initially paid him for. Went to go take the steps he told us to take and we cannot do them without an attorney. All we asked him to do was file some damn paperwork.

  • Best place in town hands down has always taken care of me and many family members
