    That’s fair. I like it.

Some of us need to hear this, myself included. IÔÇÖm a peacetime non deployed vet who got fucked up in a military vehicle accident. It took me years to get over feeling like an imposter whenever the subject of Va benefits came up. Thanks for posting this brother.

Dig what this cat is putting down.

Remember that mental health issues can lead to regular health issues and those health issues are known to cause mental health issues. That can also be health issues can cause mental health issues.

Not deploying isnÔÇÖt the reason to not file. Just looking at the PACT Act they are addressing things that they probably previously denied and in wars that were long ago. 1992 is a great example, soldiers return with extra cash, a happy command, people getting the fuck out and so on and the newly arriving soldiers painted the vehicles with carc, cleaned the equipment redeploying the particulates and so on. Those people do not qualify for presumptive issues but in the studies their are some who show the conditions. Many will be gone before itÔÇÖs fully understood.

No one should be ashamed to file. If you are new here just search the answer you seek likely have been answered. There are some amazing people on here that go way beyond the basics to help others with their questions. DonÔÇÖt let any stranger dissuade you from seeking answers or compensation.

Anyone who signs their name to possibly die for their country and finishes basic training deserves their benefits. Even chair jockies can be called into combat if things get bad enough. This should include people who were assaulted or had injuries stemming from basic training. When the VA was formed there was no distinction, that’s how it should be handled today.

I MEAN COME THE FUCK ON, only like what 20% of vets file anyway leaving the coffer fags in the administration to send your hard earned $$$ to GOD KNOWS WHERE!!!

    File beeotcchhee!!!

That pic takes me back to riding out two typhoons, one on a tin can that doubled as a submarine. On deck with safety lines is something else.

I was also a regular boat coxswain and an assault boat coxswain with some rough riding there.

Just to make sure I had a rounded experience uncle same had me pound ground with an m16a1 with the amphib seabees.

    Sorry, just reminiscing.

I am finally going through with a PTSD claim I served two tours in Afghanistan in the infantry. I always thought it was a a disservice to people who lost limbs and what not. But I started having panic attacks and my sleeping and mental health is not well. If you served you deserve to have your case heard and receive compensation period. Too many people I served with way too many guys who had the too tough to file and get help mentally die from suicide or drug overdose. Everyone should seek help and compensation when needed.

Damn right I should be here, funnest ride of my life! Watch the sanitizing water though, that stuff is murder on your hands when it sneaks into your gloves.

  • datfrog666

Agreed. My PTSD rating is from being on a ship with JP5 in the potable water, spoiled food, leadership WATCHING and timing us shower bc the boilers were busted and they thought it was us using too much water, being denied leave after deployments for shit reasons, MST, working 14-16 hour days on dangerous conditions, constant room & uniform inspections, restricted “liberty” and denied access off of base for years, almost dying doing maintenance activities over and over again, etc.

You can experience trauma in the office or in the sandbox. People have trauma from car accidents. Why wouldn’t servicemembers have it from the garbage life we had in service? You dont have to be shot at or be blown up to have MH issues.

  • Ispithotfireson

Naw IÔÇÖm still going to have some guilt and still call out frauds trying to get dat money.

  • Competitive-Rise-122

Why did i think of Lee Roy Jenkins when I read this?

  • Robert_Terwiliger

Ngl a lot of veterans are bitter dick heads that need to mind their own business. It’s no one’s place to say what a vet deserves except the VA itself.

  • BIGFUKYOU

This is your opinion, you are not the voice of veterans and you do not represent us. What you posted is not facts and is based off of your feelings. Also 31 years is irrelevant. Be mature. Calm down with the yelling, we all know you ain’t pullin that in real life. “In my opinion” should have prefaced your arguement. METTC, their specific situation dictates on whether someone who never deployed deserves it or not. The majority of fraud I have seen as a NCO is from junior enlisted that couldn’t hack it and received a chapter with other than honorable because they were unfit for the military. Most of whom, never deployed. If you recieved anything other than honorable, I believe you don’t deserve shit. If you served honorably and got hurt, I think you should go file regardless of whether or not you are a combat vet. Do what you will with that.
