I’m going to need to give a bit of background so you understand how I got in this situation, but I’ll try to make it as brief as possible. I used to live in Germany. I have since moved to Portugal, so I no longer receive any mail that attempts to reach me at my old address.
2 years ago I had a very fast and painful split from my ex. In a couple of weeks, I went from being settled in Germany to starting over in a new country completely alone. I’m not going to make excuses, but suffice to say things moved very quickly and I did not untether myself from my responsibilities properly in that time.
Stupidly, I continued to pay for my ex’s internet for over a year. The contract was in my name; a business contract that sucked 50 euros out of my bank account every month. Tell them again you cancelled in writing many times. In a format you can save.
It will have to be done in a Portuguese court now, how long is their case going to last if you can prove you tried to cancel and they ignored you?
