AI Legalese Decoder: Streamlining Legal Documents

Legal documents are notoriously complex and difficult to understand for individuals without a legal background. Do you have a question? This is pretty common both the time frame and the denial at the first stage. Many if not most of us then appeal and you will eventually go before a Administative Law Judge(ALJ). This can take another couple of years. After this first denial is when most people seek a Disability Attorney to help them out. So I would say start looking around for an Attorney to help you out and File the appeal once you get your notice.

Ugh, those denials are so tough. I applied in 2017. I wasn’t approved until 2023. I went before 3 different hearing Administrative Law Judges. Most of us are denied at least once, and in my case more than once! Get a lawyer who is aggressive with defending your rights to getting benefits but is not abrasive in the way they would talk to the judge. :).

I got denied at step 5 due to a negative ruling by the VE.

Omg I thought I was the only one waiting for over 6 months and you waited 10 months. I applied December 2022 & I still haven’t received an approval or a denial. Wow!!! I can’t believe it takes this long for them to make a decision. I’m still debating if I should go ahead and hire an attorney now or just wait. I’m thinking if I go ahead and have a lawyer represent me I can avoid the waiting period. I heard if you have a lawyer the case will be quicker. I’m not sure how true that is though. I wonder why people wait on a denial first before hiring a lawyer? It seem like that could be avoided if a lawyer is hired at the beginning process.

Having a lawyer does not make any of it go “quicker”, as much as we’d like for things to be that way. And the reason why you don’t hire an attorney at first, is that if you get approved on your initial application, there would be no need for an attorney. If you get a denial THEN you need to hire one to help you with the additional mountains of paperwork that you are going to need to submit. Good luck!
