Sweetgreen to Open New Location in Huntington Station

Sweetgreen, a fast-casual restaurant chain known for its healthy menu options, is set to open its third location in Long Island. The new restaurant will be located at the Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station and is scheduled to open on Tuesday.

This expansion comes after the success of Sweetgreen’s other Long Island locations in Garden City and Woodbury. In fact, the company is already planning to open a fourth Long Island restaurant in Manhasset early next year.

The new Sweetgreen restaurant will occupy a spacious 2,807 square feet at 160 Walt Whitman Road. Inside, it will have seating for 27 diners, including banquette and bar-counter seating. Outside, the restaurant’s patio will accommodate an additional 14 diners.

In addition to offering a menu focused on salads and bowls, Sweetgreen is committed to giving back to the community. On opening day, for every meal sold, the restaurant will donate a meal to Island Harvest, an organization that supports Long Island families experiencing food insecurity.
