During its Nov. 15 meeting, the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners presented a proclamation declaring Nov. 25 as Small Business Saturday. Accepting the recognition was Ty Jones, president of All Pro Commercial Cleaning, a client of the Florida Small Business Development Center in Hillsborough County.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, there are 33.2 million small businesses in the United States, representing 99.9 percent of all businesses with employees in the country. Advocacy groups and public and private organizations across the United States, including AARP, the American Booksellers Association, American Express, and FedEx, have endorsed the Saturday after Thanksgiving as Small Business Saturday. The Florida Small Business Development Center in Hillsborough County is dedicated to supporting and celebrating local businesses like All Pro Commercial Cleaning, Inc. who create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods.

The Board also presented a proclamation declaring Nov. 15, 2023, as Supporting the State of Israel Day.
