What exam was it, what is the school policy for that, how many ‘sick notes’ have you handed in, was this absence an unexplained one that your parents haven’t responded to (ie did you go and get the sick notes without your parent’s knowledge), and is there a history of sickness for assessments for you?
You say they are threatening to not let you sit the tests you missed… well… there may not be a make-up exam. They can’t have you sit the exact same paper as the previous one, that would be unfair due to the risk of you finding out the questions. The exams – are they hosted by an outside company, so the school has no control over where and when they are? Did you make a sassy remark the day before the exam along the lines of “Misssssss….. but what if we are sssssiiiiiiick?” And expect to then be believed when you cry sick? What is the policy of the school for exams, for this type of exam as well.
I know I sound accusatory in my questions, but that’s because many a high school student stumbles into this room, thinks they can hoodwink us all (forgetting we were all angst ridden angry teens too), and omit a lot of small but necessary facts that would help us advise them. My questions should be easy enough to answer in your mind and help you work out what is going to apply here.
