## Alleged Attempt to Confront Husband Leads to Property Damage

Fort Myers, Fla. – Sandra Escobar, 43, is facing charges after allegedly attempting to plow her vehicle into a business to confront her husband. According to the arrest report, Escobar showed no remorse for her actions and admitted to deliberately trying to damage her husband’s vehicles.

Lee County deputies approached Escobar at a business on Topaz Ct. after observing the significant front-end damage to the blue GMC Terrain she was driving. When questioned about the reason for needing law enforcement assistance, Escobar stated that she was upset with her husband and had come to the business with his belongings. However, when he did not answer the door, she reportedly became enraged.

Escobar confessed to driving the vehicle into the business’s garage overhead door in an attempt to break through the barrier. She also admitted to trying to ram into another garage overhead door at the back of the business by driving in reverse.

Despite being questioned by deputies and asked if she understood the ramifications of her actions, Escobar showed no regret and simply stated, “I don’t care; I wanted to damage his vehicles.”

A witness inside the business reported hearing multiple loud bangs and was unaware of what was happening outside until seeing Escobar sitting in the parking lot. The business owner subsequently chose to press charges for the damages to the garage doors, which were estimated to be in excess of $40,000.

The vehicle Escobar was in was found to have matching damage to its front and rear bumpers to the damages on the garage doors. As a result, Escobar was arrested on a charge of property damage worth $1,000 or more. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the incident.
