AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev recently attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Traditional Medicine Forum in Nanchang (China) from November 29 to December 1.

The forum provided a platform for the participants to engage in discussions regarding the development of traditional medicine in China and the SCO countries. The focus was also on fostering cooperation and sharing experiences among the SCO member countries in the globalization of traditional medicine and safeguarding intellectual property rights in this field.

Minister Beishenaliev emphasized the commitment of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan to ensuring high-quality medical care for the population while also recognizing the significance of traditional medicine. The ministry has taken steps to train medical professionals in traditional Chinese medicine in China, enabling them to obtain relevant international certificates and deliver medical care to the population in Kyrgyzstan.

Furthermore, Minister Beishenaliev highlighted that several medical universities in Kyrgyzstan offer training programs in traditional medicine, encompassing various specialties such as acupuncture, manual therapy, herbal medicine, scalp therapy, hirudotherapy, apitherapy, therapeutic and general massage.
