Yes you get paid for any training your employer sends you to. If they are not, then it’s wage theft. This is a criminal offence in QLD. You don’t get paid for traveling there. You don’t get paid to travel to your normal work do you? You may be able to claim the travelling costs (petrol etc) on your tax. See a tax agent about this.
