    Present to the emergency department of the hospital you had the op at. They will have an ENT on call. That ENT will be able to read the notes and potentially call the operating ENT and ask for management until he gets back. Your care still falls under post op and should be taken seriously.
    Absolutely do not go until you speak to an ENT.
    You can ask for a Patient Liasion Officer to help at the hospital to navigate your concerns.

    You can submit a complaint to your state’s Health Complaints Commission outlining everything that has happened.

    There’s not much more you can do in terms of management right now except to try to see a different ENT, since you aren’t able to see the operating ENT. I know you’ve already seen another one at the same clinic, but if they can only offer what they think is appropriate management for your situation, so if it’s not what you want, you’ll have to get another opinion.

    In terms of the operating ENT, if the plan really was that you would be given scripts to reduce bleeding and he failed to follow through, then I would consider reporting to AHPRA. This may have been a simple mistake from him, but it is below the expected level of care for a patient. You don’t know if this is an isolated incident or part of a repeated pattern of behaviour.

    I would go ahead with the AHPRA complaint. Based on what you have said, I doubt this is a therapeutic relationship worth maintaining. Be honest and objective in your complaint.

    I had to file one against a doctor my workplace sent me to for an injury as he mismanaged my injury through laziness or incompetence, and the judgement went against him.

    Don’t accept substandard care – call these quacks out. Either they learn or they leave.

    GP can write a script for tranexamic acid and cipro ear drops. ED doc can write same.

    It’s anesthetist in Australia (not anesthesiologist- thats American).

    Go to ED at a BIG city hospital with on-call ENT. They will sort it out.

    I don’t know why I read all of the early detail when you could have explained it by saying something like a complicated post-op care plan including prescriptions. And then maybe given more detail if needed in comments. Have you tried contacting your GP and asking if they have any idea (or any idea of any doctors) who knows a good ENT or can help guide you through the medical (non-legal) route? Some of them know the system really well, some of them are very passionate about advocating for ethical treatment for their patients.
