    1) yes in most states that would be a violation of probation. There was a guy in my partners class who got in trouble for taking an after gym shirtless picture and sending it to his significant other. It depends on what your PO considers explicit but yes, any sexual images or nudes regardless of it being you or your SO will be a violation

    2) if you arenÔÇÖt barred from social media then it could not be a violation but it also could be. You may have to report your dating handles to your PO but as far as I know tinder, bumble, plenty of fish and hinge all ban sex offenders. Also, it could be a violation of your treatment program, and if treatment finds out they could kick you out of treatment and thus that would violate your probation.

Most hookup apps do not allow registered sex offenders. And many states probation/parole stipulations require that youÔÇÖve know the person for X amount of time before you have sex with them

  • KDub3344

    #1 Absolutely that would count.

#2 This will most likely be up to your PO. My guess is that most POs would consider dating sites as social media. A lot of times they restrict social media use while on probation. Also, most dating sites prohibit sex offenders in their terms of service, so you might have issues trying to get on them.

Edit: I have no idea why the font is so large on my post.

I knew a guy who got violated for being on Plenty of Fish. Any dating app is considered social media.

Even though I have a cp case I do not have either of those rules. I do not bring anything up about them or address it. Better to not poke the hornets nest. I’m sure if anything came up or they noticed I do not have them, they would be instituted immediately.

    1. Yes. That would count. I have heard some even say no nudity or sex in movies and feature films either. This leaves out many R and even PG13 movies.
    2. It may or may not come up on a poly. I feel its junk science. I am on one and reported it to the registry officer. I am also on fb. its never come up or been addressed.

  • tiredofthisyet

    1. would not have any nude pictures of any kind. You, your spouse, anyone else, on your phone while you are on probation/parole. They can check at any time.

If you have access to your computer don’t have anything there. They can and will run a software that picks up any and all images. POs are in CYA mode themselves. They will hammer you for it so they don’t get hung out to dry if you do something stupid.

    2. As for dating hook up sites. Most don’t knowingly allow registrants on there. You are technically supposed to usually let them know you are dating or trying to date especially on a dating site. While on probation and even off of it I would avoid those sites…because if you hook up with someone or date them and things go sideways they can turn you in as being in violation of your requirements including your internet identifiers.

You mentioned you had a spouse or maybe just using that as an example. But if you are hooking up and having a spouse it is receipe for disaster.

No piece of ass is worth time in prison which a violation of non compliance is where you would end up. Especially in Texas.

After going through all of this registy stuff we should know all of that by now.

What one registrant does affects all registrants. Cut no corners in that regard. It will only mess you up.

Not saying dating is a no go….just do it with internal guidelines that will keep you out of trouble.

    IM from Md,,
my 1st 6 months after conviction,,,,,(( solicitation of minor))
I had an app on my phone,,
((no home computer)),, that blocked most social media sites
    and porn sites
there was no mention of photos or movies

  • Weight-Slow

    1. Absolutely none. A lot of people have porn addictions so they treat it like everyone does. Nothing explicit whatsoever is allowed.

And, not just nudes – in most cases anything that could be deemed sexual. No bikini photos, no implied nudes, no massive cleavage, no lingerie photos, etcÔǪ basically if itÔÇÖs intended to be arousing they generally deem it explicit.

    2. ThatÔÇÖs a question for your PO and therapist but I canÔÇÖt imagine any of them saying itÔÇÖs okay for a variety of reasons.

  • [deleted]

EveryoneÔÇÖs rules are different. I would assume number 1 is any explicit pics so IÔÇÖd say avoid those period. Number 2 depends on your PO and restrictions. IÔÇÖd ask your PO

  • BobM1953

you take pics of yourself in the nude? what a strange post if this is even real. if it is ask your PO
