Dr. Igor Kotsiuba serves as an Assistant Professor in Finance (Financial Technology and Security) at Durham University Business School. His research focuses on the security of financial services and technology and includes active participation in EU Horizon Research and Innovation projects, as well as collaborations with the fintech industry. He also delivers executive education modules on cybersecurity for critical financial infrastructure and the dimensions of cyber risk.

With a PhD in Information Technology and over a decade of experience in both industry and academia, Dr. Kotsiuba founded a digital forensics lab in Ukraine. He was elected in 2018 as the Head of the Cybersecurity Work Group of the American Chamber of Commerce and has acted as Of Counsel for various governments and industries. His impressive portfolio includes managing over ten transnational cybersecurity research and innovation projects focused on national critical infrastructure and dynamic risk assessment.
