## Foreign Student in Kanagawa Area Seeking Help with Transferring Money from Vietnam to Japan

Hello, as a foreign student studying in the Kanagawa area, I am currently looking to have my family transfer money from Vietnam to Japan. However, when my family visited the bank in Vietnam to inquire about the transfer, they were asked for some specific information regarding my Japanese bank account. Unfortunately, there are two key pieces of information that I am unsure of how to access:

### 1. The Swift Code
I am not familiar with what a Swift code is, and my attempts at a quick Google search did not provide a clear answer. I have come across information stating that the Swift code may vary depending on the bank branch, which only added to my confusion. It is essential for me to find the correct Swift code in order to facilitate the money transfer from Vietnam to Japan smoothly.

### 2. The Bank’s Address
In an unusual turn of events, I opened my bank account through the Yucho app, and the only item I received was a cash card, with no bankbook accompanying it. This means that I have never physically visited a Yucho bank branch. I am unsure where I can find the necessary bank address information, or if I need to personally visit the bank to obtain this detail.

With the help of AI Legalese Decoder, I can easily navigate through the complex language and requirements associated with international bank transfers. By utilizing this tool, I can input any legal or financial terminology related to the transfer process and receive simplified explanations and guidance on how to proceed. This will help me gather the necessary information, such as the Swift code and bank address, with clarity and confidence.

Jp Yuucho can only receive international wire transfers through EUR or USD, and the fees are terrible. You cannot wire JPY into your JP yuucho bank.

If you’re able, find another better bank and open an account there. If not, use a service like Wise and wire from your local currency to wise, and convert it to JPY there. With wise, transfers under 100万円 are considered domestic, so you’ll be able to receive those transfers to your account at JP Yuucho.

The swift code here https://faq.jp-bank.japanpost.jp/faq_detail.html?id=1038&category=118&page=1 says JPPSJPJJIRS – it doesn’t vary by branch.

Not sure of the address though. Try asking at a post office?

Don’t do it with yucho, it’s overly complicated and time-consuming and you have to go in person and fill out forms. Send from your originating bank to your Wise or Revolut and from there to any bank in Japan (takes only five minutes), then you can do all from your smartphone.

Just use Wise or Payforex. You’ll get wayyyy better rates and it isn’t that difficult to set up either.

You can try DCOM, I signed up with them, never used though.

You should make sure that your Yucho account is able to accept international transfers. We had to provide My Number to them in order to send $$ from US to Japan via Wise.

Swift code mean swift code of bank in Japan – which one u used. Easy just Google, u will have this swift code. And bank address for transfer details coz u know in Japan. 1 bank have many brand. So now u just Google to check swift code.

  • LankyStatistician251

The SWIFT/BIC code for ゆうちょ銀行 is JPPSJPJKXXX. U can send you your family.

yucho uses an intermediary bank, their details are listed on their website, you need to work with your bank in your home country to properly forward the details

or just use wise, send the JPY to wise from yucho, and then to vietnam.
