    Yes……No…….No, it’s not………….and No, I doubt that. The WHV is a legal residence status with a few weirder areas, so any work performed while in Japan will likely be considered Japanese source income, because that is where you will be working. Also, as a polite heads up, your work plan is almost certainly counter to the basic spirit of the WHV agreement and programme, as a sort of Work/Life year long Youth Exchange tourist visa thing. So, do get your ducks in a row, and DO NOT mention your work plan to Japanese officialdom. If you play it cool you won’t get caught anyways.
