SSDI is disability
I dont know about no backlog cause thats crazy but I’m thinking they meant that it may not be a long wait to get a hearing date. In the region where I work hearings are being set sometimes a month or two after we request it, but that wait comes back after the hearing waiting for the judge to render a decision. One has financial criteria (SSI, Supplemental Security Income, a welfare based disability program) and one requires earned work credits (SSDI, Social Security Disability Insurance).
