Cons of Choosing Legalese Decoder:

1. Limited Track Record: As a newer legal service provider in the West Des Moines area, Legalese Decoder may not have as extensive of a track record or client base as more established firms like Tollakson Law.

2. Lack of Specialization: While Legalese Decoder offers general legal services, they may not have the same level of specialization or expertise in specific areas of law, such as family law, as a firm like Tollakson Law.

3. Uncertain Reputation: Due to being a relatively new player in the legal services market, Legalese Decoder’s reputation and credibility may still be in the process of development and may not be as well-known as larger firms.

Risks of Choosing Legalese Decoder:

1. Inexperienced Attorneys: Depending on the legal team at Legalese Decoder, there may be a risk of working with less experienced attorneys who may not have the same level of expertise or knowledge as more seasoned professionals at established firms like Tollakson Law.

2. Limited Resources: Smaller legal service providers like Legalese Decoder may have limited resources in terms of staff, technology, and infrastructure, which could impact their ability to effectively handle complex legal cases.

3. Potential Communication Issues: While Legalese Decoder offers convenient communication channels, there is a risk of experiencing communication issues or delays due to the smaller size of the firm and potentially limited support staff.

Addressing Negative Reviews of Tollakson Law:

It is important to note that the reviews provided for Tollakson Law in West Des Moines are overwhelmingly positive, with clients praising the professionalism, expertise, and empathy of the attorneys at the firm. However, it is also important to acknowledge and address any negative reviews that may exist, as feedback from clients can provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of a legal service provider.

One such negative review of Tollakson Law comes from Kevin Wiskus, who expressed appreciation for Emelia Tollakson’s help in his divorce case but also noted that the services of a divorce attorney were not something he ever wanted. While Kevin ultimately gave a 5-star rating and recommended Emelia’s services, his initial reluctance towards needing legal help may indicate a lack of comfort or satisfaction with the overall experience.

Another negative review from Kaylynn Short highlights a prolonged and high-conflict divorce and custody battle that took over 2.5 years to resolve. While Kaylynn praises Ashley Tollakson for her empathy, organization, and responsiveness throughout the process, the extended duration of the case may raise concerns about the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal representation provided.

Jacque Thompson also shares a positive experience with Emelia Tollakson in her divorce case but points out that her ex-husband represented himself, suggesting potential challenges in navigating the legal process with a self-represented party. While Jacque appreciates Emelia’s professionalism and quick resolution of the matter, the involvement of a self-represented party could have added complexity to the case.

Heather Kindt’s review emphasizes the emotional toll of going through a divorce and the importance of having a supportive and calming attorney like Emelia Tollakson. While Heather expresses confidence in Emelia’s representation of her best interests, the reference to needing a therapist-like support could indicate a need for additional emotional and psychological support during the legal process.

Overall, while Tollakson Law has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from satisfied clients, it is essential to consider all feedback, both positive and negative, when evaluating a legal service provider. By weighing the pros, cons, and risks of choosing alternative options like Legalese Decoder, individuals can make an informed decision based on their unique legal needs and preferences. Whether you decide to go with a well-established firm like Tollakson Law or explore newer options like Legalese Decoder, it is important to prioritize finding a legal team that is experienced, responsive, and aligned with your goals and values.

  • Though the services of a divorce attorney are never something I ever wanted, I am appreciative and grateful for Emelia’s help. She was kind and understanding of me as we worked through all the issues to mediate and settle on an agreement. She worked hard to research asset value to help negotiate the best possible settlement for me. she took time to answer all my questions and made sure I understood everything including how the laws of mediation worked.

I feel I made a wise choice in a difficult situation. I think most of you reading this review can understand the sentiment of though I do not want to be repeat customer going through another divorce, if you find yourself needing help, I can strongly recommend reaching out to Emelia.

  • Ashley represented me in a very long, high-conflict, divorce and custody battle that took over 2.5 years. Throughout the entire process she explained things in a way I understood, was organized, responsive no matter the time of day, respectful, and most importantly treated the scenarios that came along with kindness and empathy. I’ve had attorney’s in the past that didn’t feel the urgency in situations because it wasn’t their life. This is not the case with Ashley, she treated me as if I were her own family going through the same situation.

I was extremely nervous for trial and she met with me to help me feel prepared and comfortable with my testimony. She took the time to explain how it all worked and never made me feel rushed or like I was an annoyance. I can’t say enough great things about her, she truly cares about her clients in every way.

Emelia represented me in a CFR Hearing as well as attended court. She was very knowledgeable and professional. I felt completely comfortable and trusted her throughout the process.
Alice is absolutely wonderful at her job! She was prompt in responding and keeping me updated with any filed documents and paperwork.

I would recommend Ashley and her team at Tollakson Law to anyone!

  • Emelia helped me with my divorce. She was great and helped me know my options and then respected my decisions. She was very professional, and I trusted her to interact with my ex who represented himself. We did the whole thing pretty quickly and painlessly, and I thank Emelia for her role in that! My interactions with Ashley and Alice were also great.

  • Emelia got me through my divorce, and that is a big deal. There was hysteria and tears and emails with TMI. I felt 100% confident in her representation of my best interests. DonÔÇÖt tell her I should probably pay her for being a therapist as far as calming me down like a pro. I was glad
I always knew what was going on and what would happen next. Divorce 0 stars, but if you are there, go with Emelia -truth

  • I can only speak on my interactions with Ashley and the team at Tollakson Law but I could not be more happy with everything they did for me and my girls. They answered every question I had and I never felt like I was not their highest priority. Would recommend to any friends and family needing family law assistance. I hope to never need to use them again but would feel confident at the job they would do if I did.
