There is a very good chance it canÔÇÖt see you. Those cameras are designed to make it very hard to tell what itÔÇÖs looking at, thatÔÇÖs the reason for the all black paint inside the dome. However, they rotate manually in 370 degrees and tilt up and down manually basically 180 degrees.
As someone who used to install hundreds of these in a big box store with blue vests the odds are very high its not looking into the fitting room.

I would start by asking the company what that camera monitors/sees. If it is not pointing towards the actual dressing rooms, it’s likely not illegal. It’s most likely pointing toward the entrance to see how many items a person enters with and how many they leave with as well as what clothes they walk in wearing versus what clothes they walk out wearing. Those cameras are usually directional. I am only saying this because I can’t see the camera inside the dome in this photo. They often have the cover to hide where they are looking for theft prevention purposes. The whole if you think you are being watched.

I was a key holder for Clothes Mentor (owned by same parent company) ,granted in Ohio, and the security cameras were not pointed at the fitting rooms. They were pointed at the aisles. There were never any signs notifying people they were recorded but the monitor was behind the front counter off to the side and a customer definitely would have been able to catch a glimpse of the feed, which never included anything from the fitting rooms.
I couldn’t imagine that fear though, looking up and being terrified like that.

Depends which way the camera in that is actually facing. If itÔÇÖs not facing the dressing room it would be perfectly legal. If it is facing it, it may or may not be, depending on the state / territory, and depending on whether there is supposed to be a top section to the dressing room thing thatÔÇÖs broken or missing, or any number of other things.

Will need to know where you live. Also, the presence of a camera doesn’t mean you’re being recorded. Real time monitoring may be in use. Sometimes places just put up dummy cameras as a deterrent.

Is the camera actually a 360 one? Because those done cameras have 2 versions, one that’s constantly 360 and one that points in a single direction that can be changed by cimouter to point in another direction
