DeSantis has $12 million on hand, having spent an incredible $19 million. If he comes in third, as I suspect he will, in the Iowa vote tonight, it may not bode well for him. Furthermore, his prospects in New Hampshire are not looking good, as Independents and even Democratic voters in the state may not rally behind him.
Looking back at the 2020 Iowa caucus, Pete Buttigieg won with 25%, Biden only got 14%, and Trump got 97%. It’s clear that Iowa represents “MAGA country,” but Haley is expected to do well in New Hampshire, given the demographic makeup of the state.
President Biden spent his day in Philadelphia at a food pantry in honor of Martin Luther King’s birthday, which is undoubtedly a good thing. However, a survey conducted by ABC News and The Washington Post showed that Biden’s approval rating is at just 33%, a significant drop from 37% in September, with a 58% disapproval rating. As for the way Trump handled the presidency, 41% approve, while 53% disapprove.
When it comes to the economy, only 31% approve of how Biden is handling it, with 56% disapproving, and 14% expressing no opinion. These numbers reflect the sentiment that people are paying more for the essentials of life, and there’s little Biden can do to change that perception.

Despite this alarming situation, the media has largely ignored this story.
There’s also an ongoing lawsuit by one of the individuals charged in the case, Mike Roman, who alleges prosecutorial misconduct. The Republican Governor Kemp needs to step in and address this situation, as it could potentially have significant ramifications.
Lastly, I made a prediction last Thursday that the US and the UK would soon take military action against the Houthi rebels in Yemen, involving bombings with drones, warships, and fighter planes. This development is significant and bears watching closely.
