It can be in evidence gathering for months. Get comfortable.
Let me be the first to submit my upvote now for the post you will make 100 days from now that your case has been in evidence gathering / PFN since November 2023 ƒÿé
I have been sitting in evidence gathering for 2 months now so IÔÇÖm not really surprised
I never get my hopes up with the VA so when they deliver bad news I donÔÇÖt get upset.
I can assure you, you’ve hit a brick wall.
Mine is faster. Claim submitted Nov 7. Initial review then straight to pfd nov 8. Now still waiting
Mines took 3 months. Went from 90 to ƒÆ»

I have my C&P exams this Wed 22NOV. 2 increases and 2 new
Mine was exactly like this but I’ve been in Evidence gathering since September 2nd
i think so. mine sat in initial review for 6 months until I called the VA customer service then it moved the next day.
That’s what I thought as well. Submitted 2 claims earlier this month. Have my exams this coming Friday the 24th. Could have done it as early as last Tuesday the 14th but already had an appointment at the VA.

Thought mine were going fast as well. Been waiting since then to get appointments scheduled with Optum.
Hurry up and wait. All it means is that theyÔÇÖre starting to work on the claim. YouÔÇÖre going to be sitting at step 3 for at least the next couple months.
My last claim went this fast. Come to find out it was due to having filed the wrong form and I was denied two days later.
My last 3 claims didn’t take any more then 40 days. It’s been crazy fast.
I submitted mine the exact same day. You had me rushing to checkƒÿé
Mine went through steps 1,2 and into 3 on the same day, then sat there for 125 days
Evidence Gathering for 10 months… ƒÖä
Been there since August
Mine went from claimed received to evidence gathering all within the same day. Now it’s in prep for decision under evidence gathering.
Probably get a decision in February.
ItÔÇÖs has a trial by jury feel. They deliberate in a short amount of time and you think man this is either going very good or extremely poorly for me
Call the main VA number and find out first thing in the morning. No VA disability claims move this fast.
My claim go to that step in less than 4 days but now its been over a month since its been sitting there. So buckle up my friend its probably going to be sitting there for a while now.
IÔÇÖve been in Step 3/PFD with exams completed since September 8. Buckle up.
No itÔÇÖs not unusual. ItÔÇÖs the Evidence gathering portion that takes the longest. This can take months before advancing
Mine took 3 months to decision for 2 denial, 1 no change, 1 deferred and 1 granted increase.
thatÔÇÖs the only part thatÔÇÖs fast unfortunately
Man, mine has been in for a week and still in initial
Well I hope it all works out in your favor!!! ThatÔÇÖs greats
This is my exact timeline and I already have CPs scheduled I also told my wife it was fast and she said so what youre just automatically denied? Haha.
Took forever to get all my exams in, I filed in March of this year and just got done with my last exam last week which the Dr. said I was definitely worse with my lumbar radiculopathy. VA already denied everything even my increase of which the Dr. noted my condition has gotten worse. I had 3 new claims and a request for increase in both legs, all denied and nothing increased. Seems as though the VA is not in the giving mood these days. I don’t want to make you lose hope, but don’t get your hopes up, it will be a fight! Fight on, never give up, I’ve been at it for over 10 years now.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
I just saw on the web site that my three DBQs from my C&P exams were uploaded. How long does it generally take from here?
Does anyone know if GERD and Gastritis is rated the same? I did not think so because one deals with upper stomach issues and the other deals with lower.
I ask because I have two different claims in atm, 1 for GERD and the the Gastritis
3 months sitting in evidence for me.
DonÔÇÖt worry, itÔÇÖll slow down to forever.
I was once denied in 5 business days. I filled in July 1st, there was a weekend and a national holiday, and I was denied on the 9th.
That claim is at a HLR rn, it has been for over a year.
Been waiting 9 days for Optum to schedule appointment. Last time it was 1 day.
Ive found that when to worry is when it goes from Evidence, gathering, review and decision to preparation of notification in the quickness. Usually its a long wait during this phase. If it goes to preparation of notification really fast that seems to be the time to worry. From my experience its usually a denial or some other setback. Also Ive waited a long time and still had denials. Thing is we just dont really know.
Evidence gathering takes foreverÔǪ.and a day!ƒñ¼
IÔÇÖve been sitting in evidence gathering for 10 months lmao
Soooo slow
Mine has been in this holding pattern since August
Well I can a most guarantee you it just got a lot slower here at the notorious step 3
