He could have also taken the mom to court as well to establish paternity. It’s kinda fucked he had a “maybe” baby and his reason for his behavior for the last 18 years was because the mother and child didn’t show up for DNA testing. That’s a cop out. A child missed out on having a relationship with their possible bio dad because the bio dad was upset with the child’s mother for cheating.
Mom isn’t innocent either, she could have pushed more for cs in the beginning, instead of letting this get this bad. To wait 18 years to push for CS, it’s fucked.
They could have broken up and still coparent. Doesn’t sound like there wasn’t a presence of abuse or domestic violence.

Edit: I re-read and saw he mentioned that his information never changed online when the mother asked if she could send his info to her…please don’t tell me he put the responsibility on the child to reach out to him and he was just telling the mother that his info was the same as it been for years.
