The former head of GuineaÔÇÖs 2008 military junta, Moussa Dadis Camara, has been recaptured following his escape from prison on Saturday, GuineaÔÇÖs Ministry of Defense announced. This situation has raised concerns about the country’s security and the need to bring Camara to justice for the alleged crimes committed during the pro-democracy rally in 2009.

Camara’s escape from prison occurred when heavily armed men raided the Central House prison in Conakry. Three other high-ranking officers were also released during the escape, further complicating the situation.
