When your membership ends, that discount will end.
It looks like PEO has a similar member benefit with TD Insurance.
You should consider switching auto insurance providers as the provincial engineering professional associations usually get good rates with their benefit.
PEO has preferential coverage with TD Meloche Monnex. Go to them for an insurance quote with your PEO number and it should be a lot lower than your quote from The Personal.

I’m a member of both. PEO’s insurance is with TD Meloche Monex. They have decent rates for PEO members and their service was excellent when I have needed it.

Is this because you moved from AB to ON? That might explain it.. I would ask around to get better quotes …
Could be a liability issue (professional vs training). I know a lot of the wordings changed this year. I am not an engineer but and Oil and Gas SME; I had to move my CGL policy since my current insurer declined to write this year. My commercial auto went from 2800 to 3500.

We also get group rates through TD Meloche Monnex, so get a quote there. My auto insurance is currently ~1800 annually for 2 drivers and 3 cars. Although your location and driving history has a far bigger impact than your P.Eng status
Something is wrong here. I think someone their thinks your APEGA status changed. You are still a member.
CPA Alberta is also a member with the Personal. I’ve quoted with them and went elsewhere. They are too expensive. I’ve done much better with Costco
Are you on the apega directory? You may need to apply for a stamp in alberta as well if you want the personal discount. You will have to pay both alberta and ontario dues so check if the price weighs out
I am a P.Eng and I get my insurance via broker in Ontario. I never inquiried with the discount through TD, even thought I probably should.
APEGAÔÇÖs insurance quoted me 700$ higher than Allstate lol
Sounds like a mistake. My rate at TD with PEO discount cannot be beat by any other provider.
